Privacy policy

Summary: your drawings and images are processed in your browser and are not sent to our servers. There are no accounts, ads or analytics. We only keep minimal technical data for the free trial and to check your license.

In case of discrepancy between versions, the Spanish version prevails.

1. Who is responsible

LineWorkCAD (lineworkcad.com) is operated by Juan Marcos Valdes (Guatemala). Contact: soporte@lineworkcad.com.

2. Your files

The DXF, SVG, PDF and image files you open, draw or export are processed locally in your browser. We do not upload them, we cannot see them and we do not store them on our servers.

3. What is stored on your device

Browser storage (localStorage): your settings (language, theme, units, shortcuts), the automatic recovery copy of your work, your license status (a signed token) and the free-trial counter.
First-party cookies: lw_t (free-trial counter) and lw_d (a random, anonymous identifier of your browser). They last up to about 13 months. They exist only so the free trial does not reset when you clear data and to limit the devices per license.
We do not use advertising, analytics or third-party cookies, except PayPal’s when you open its payment window.

You can delete all of this from your browser settings at any time (the free trial may not reset, see section 4).

4. What our server receives

A small license server (on Cloudflare Workers) receives only the following:

Free trial: your browser’s random identifier, what you have used of the trial (downloads and images) and an irreversible fingerprint of your IP address (a cryptographic hash, not the IP). The IP fingerprint is kept for 30 days and is used to limit how many trials start from the same connection. Per-browser counters are kept as long as needed so the trial cannot be reset; they are not linked to your name or email.
License: the PayPal subscription ID or gift code you paste, and a random identifier of your device (to apply the device limit). With the ID we ask PayPal whether the subscription is active and which plan it is.

We do not receive your name, email, address or card details.

5. Payments

Payments are processed by PayPal. They receive and handle your payment data under their own privacy policy. We only get the subscription confirmation (its ID, plan and status).

6. Hosting

The site and the license server are hosted on Cloudflare, which may log technical data about requests (for example the IP address) for security and operation, under its privacy policy.

7. What we use the data for

Only to provide the service (verify your license and apply the free trial), prevent abuse and meet legal obligations. We do not sell or share data with third parties for commercial purposes.

8. Your rights

You can ask us for access, correction or deletion of the data we hold about you by writing to soporte@lineworkcad.com. Since we do not identify people, we may ask for your subscription ID or your browser identifier (lw_d) to locate the data. You can also deactivate your license on a device from the license window.

9. Children

The service is not directed at children under 14.

10. Changes

If we change this policy, we will publish the new version here with its date.
